Book Sale

Since 1936, the AAUW-Appleton Branch has been sponsoring a used book sale to raise money for scholarships for women. Half of the money each year goes to the national AAUW organization for national & international fellowships and research & project grants. The other half of the money is given as scholarships to local women finishing their baccalaureate degrees or pursuing graduate degree programs. We  give two scholarships to women finishing their Associates degrees at Fox Valley Technical College. We also offer a Founders Scholarship to an incoming  junior or senior woman member of our student affiliate organization at Lawrence University.

Besides raising scholarship money, our book sale promotes life-long learning, literacy, and the recycling of books and other materials.
