Essay Contest

3/16/2020: Events and Branch Activities Canceled

Due to the public health emergency related to COVID-19, all of our AAUW Appleton meetings and activities for March have been canceled. This includes our March 19th event: 19th Amendment Centennial Celebration program, Essay Contest Reception, and branch meeting. Essay contest winners will be notified and receive their prizes and certificates at a later time.

Women’s History Month Essay Contest

Women have not always been recognized for their contributions in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The essay contest challenges students, girls and boys, to discover and publicize women who made a difference in the sciences and tell why the woman they researched is significant to them.

Open to any student in grades 6-8 in the greater Fox Cities area.
